Why Stylish Art Aficionados Should Shop Cos' Museum-Worthy Capsule in Beverly Hills

Although LA's minimalist art fans will need to book a flight to see The Guggenheim's Agnes Martin exhibition in the flesh, they can at least dress like the iconic artist's paintings without visiting LAX. (Phew.) Cos, the sleek sister label of H&M, just released a capsule collection inspired by Martin's work — and it's all shoppable now at at the brand's Beverly Hills flagship.

Cos (which also sponsored the NYC retrospective) translated the minimalist artist's subdued style into a 12-piece women's and men's range. Pieces like a waffle knit cashmere dress ($250) channel Martin's tiny geometric prints, while a navy A-line wrap skirt is reminiscent of the Canadian-bred talent's clean lines.

Other LA weather-ready highlights include a unisex cotton jersey tee with a hand-stitched stripes ($89) and lightweight men's poplin shirt with subtle checks ($115). There's also the oversized wide collar linen jacket that, like a true work of art, requires an up-close look to appreciate its hand-drawn pattern ($150) — we wouldn't mind wearing this for the five days of actual below-60 weather we hope to see this winter.

A portion of the capsule's proceeds will benefit the Agnes Martin Foundation, which aims to buy back the artist's work from private collectors and donate to public galleries. Shop the collection online or IRL at Cos' LA flagship on N Beverly Drive.
