The holiday event circuit is just around the corner, which means it's time to step up your festive gown game. Whether you're seeking an upgrade from that basic sequin mini (Zara dresses only last so long, y'know?) or a SFW stunner for that corporate office bash, you'll likely find a winner at LA's vintage shopping party known as A Current Affair — and this weekend will be hosted by ladies who know a thing or two about making a stylish statement.

Taking place this Saturday and Sunday (12 to 6pm) on the 11th floor of DTLA's Cooper Design Space, the event will be hosted by Advanced Style author Ari Seth Cohen and his fashionable muses Valerie Von Sobel and Barbara Flood. (Yup, you can pick up his latest tome, Advanced Style: Older and Wiser, and get it signed, too.) As far as the lineup, shop over 65 top-notch vintage vendors hailing from near and far — including LA's own Spanish Moss, Scout, Just Say Native, and Mixed Business alongside Austin's Charm School, Oakland's Mercy Vintage, Tucson's Desert Vintage, and more.

As if benefiting your wardrobe wasn't enough, this week's event will also do good with your dollars: A Current Affair is donating 20% of ticket sales to the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood, and the Southern Poverty Law Center. (Talk about the giving season.) Keep that in mind when you're sipping gratis drinks by Chareau, enjoying bites by Project Share a Meal and new DTLA vegan spot Wild, kicking up your feet in Urban Americana's stylish lounge area, and shopping to the beats of KCRW's Marion Hodges.

Want in? Advance tickets are $12 for single-day general admission, $20 for 10am preview entry on Saturday, and $28 for a weekend pass (includes preview entry) and are available online here; otherwise, tickets are $15 to $35 at the door.
