If you like the idea of a global adventure packed with scavenger hunts and physical challenges but would prefer to keep your race local and decidedly reality TV-free, then start recruiting your dream competition team now. Outdoor gear brand (and certified B Corporation) Cotopaxi is bringing is 24-hour Questival to LA next Friday, September 8 — and it's all for a good cause, too.

The event kicks off in the evening at Los Angeles State Historic Park in Downtown, where participants can begin by fueling up on grub and drinks from local vendors, Noosa Yoghurt, and Kevita Kombucha. From there, the games begin, and groups of 2 to 6 people will embark on challenges involving fitness, food, service, teamwork, and adventure "that push you out of your comfort zone." Quests include exploring Bronson Cave and reenacting a film or TV scene shot there, checking out the La Brea Tar Pits, and more. Once you've checked off your task, you'll record your completed challenge using the event's app.

As if bonding with your pals and scoring a free Cotopaxi backpack stuffed with race goodies wasn't enough, participants can win up to $10,000 in prizes.

Want in? Tickets are just $46 but the price will increase soon, so grab up to 5 of your friends and sign up for the event online here.
