Cool-Girl Mecca Acne Studios Is Opening A Second LA Boutique This Year

The cult-fave Swedish label is coming soon to Melrose Avenue.

If you're a fan of Acne Studios' Swedish-cool aesthetic but just can't bring yourself to make the trek to DTLA, this next news is for you. The Stockholm-bred label is set to open a second Los Angeles boutique on Melrose Avenue by the end of this year, reports WWD.

Acne Studios co-founder and executive chairman Mikael Schiller tells the fashion trade pub that the brand (which stands for Ambition to Create Novel Expression) doesn't "subscribe to the idea of every store looking the same… Each one is unique to its city." Translation: don't expect the Melrose outpost to be a carbon copy of the label's Downtown flagship, which features industrial-meets-whimsical interiors that include wonderland-like mushroom installation, perforated metal fixtures, and playful pink flooring.

Although an exact location has yet to be announced, we wouldn't be surprised if it lands somewhere near the buzzing corner of La Cienega and Melrose in West Hollywood; perhaps in the prime spaces formerly occupied by TenOverSix or Marc by Marc Jacobs? (It's also worth noting that A.P.C., which also has a DTLA store near Acne's Eastern Columbia Building flagship, is located nearby.)

While we wait for official confirmation on Acne Studios' Melrose address, feel free to share your own guesses on where they're headed in the comments below.
