If you, too fell in love with those ethereal floral backdrops as seen at H&M and Erdem’s garden-themed LA launch party, you can now recreate that fashionable atmosphere in your very own abode. Nelson Pitts, the botanical artist behind the bash’s flower arrangements, will soon début his first luxury boutique and design studio, The Other Half, in Koreatown.
Set to open to the public this Wednesday, November 1, the whimsical 850-square-foot space — which features a hand-painted façade — offers much more than just florals. Pitts explains that the K-Town space will serve as “a creative playground for me and my team of designers. Our goal is to break the mould of what a flower shop is expected to be; to shake things up a bit.”
In addition to offering otherworldly bouquets and more dreamy botanical arrangements for delivery ($175 and up) as well as pre-made designs ($45 and up), the retail space and workshop will also house technicolor prisms, vessels, handpicked crystals, cacti, succulents, and more. The floral designs themselves will feature unexpected accents (think crystals and hand-painted sculptural pieces) and will be crafted from seasonal plants and other natural materials sourced from local and faraway growers.
