Candytopia's Wonka-Inspired Wonderland Moves to Santa Monica — And Tickets Go On Sale Today

They'll be available starting noon.

Nope, Candytopia wasn't a sugar-coated figment of your imagination. As a result of a permitting snafu at its original Boyle Heights venue, the immersive experience had to "make the difficult choice to find a new location." That day is finally here: The eye candy wonderland is set to reopen next Friday, March 2 at Santa Monica Place — and tickets go on sale today at noon.

Taking over the shopping center's East Court on the second level by Bloomingdale's through Wednesday, July 4, the kaleidoscopic candyland promises a beachside cotton candy surf shack, an art gallery filled with candied renditions of classics Andy Warhol and Edvard Munch, and even a swimming pool filled with faux marshmallows, among other selfie-ready experiences. Of course, you can expect a gift shop fully stocked with chocolate, Pez, Pocky, candy-themed clothing and accessories, and more to satisfy your sweet tooth before you head home.

Admission is $30 for adults and $23 for ages 4 to 12 (ages 3 and under are free) and there's a limit of 12 tickets per person; tickets must be purchased in advance by reserving a timed visit session, and it's recommended that you sign up for Candytopia's newsletter to get a link to buy tickets directly to your inbox when they're available.
